BMP weapons are easier and cheaper to get than weapons crafted in towns. They only really have novelty value. After the initial hours of thinking "whoa, these are so cool... best skins yet!" I eventually calmed down and didn't actually replace any of my current weapons (except one plain wooden flatbow I use for pulling. had to use the book for something).

The weapons are free & have no value. People want things ingame that have value, therefore after the novelty of the BMP weapons wears off very few people will still be using them as they're cheap and common.

Cheap/Common items don't really have a place in HoM as it's not an achievement.

As for people asking to allow more weapons into HoM... why would you want to give yourself even more work to fill out your HoM? I've no idea why people would want to make things more difficult for themselves. I'm already putting off filling it as my main doesn't have much use for all 10 destroyer weapon skins. Just be glad it's only 10 weapons you have to put in there to gain the maximum benefit from it.

Yes, perhaps Tormented Weaponry is a valid addition. It's a limited set, with each of the weapons covered, and would add limited things to GW2. But taking this into every OTHER weapon in the game? No. Bad plan.

And everything I posted there is based off interviews and magazine articles I have read. Perhaps they would provide a title for us in GW2, but I highly doubt they would reward your GW1 achievements/funds by IMMEDIATELY making you rich in GW2. Fair chance for each player would totally go out the window with that. I'd guess something very similar to /bonus.

I wish they did add it to the Hall of Monuments, this is why:

The skins are very nice and deserve to be in the Hall of Monuments.

+1

Seriously, if anything, these skins are most worthy of HoM status. /endthread

/Notsigned for HoM on these...

But to the folks saying BMP weapons have no value...?huh?

They have as much "value" as any other weapon. They're for hitting things until they die and they seem to work just as good for that as any other weapon.

Whites have nothing to do with BMP weapons, or even golds and greens.

No one is saying whites should go in BMP.

Well, depends on how you look at it I guess. Destroyer weapons are what, roughly 75kish? (not sure mat prices atm) and BMP weapons are free so in that respect they aren't really cheap when compared to something that costs nothing.

Only stuff that's really worth anything are the 10 diamonds and onyx gemstones, which, incidentally, are also dungeon rewards (sometimes).

Would be approximately 75k if you had to buy them, because onyx gemstones are worth 5.5k each, mainly. They're much easier to get than most decent uniques, though.

I like it, they are historical weapons after all. HoM=Historical type thing for GW2.
